This Friday lookout for the 2011 registration forms to come home with the kids from school. MGSL was approved for Fall mass distribution in Sylvan District and all students grades K – 8th will receive a form.

Also, don’t forget to spread the word about the new 6U Tee Division and adding 15 year olds to the 14U’s, thus making that division 15U!

….and postmarked by December 5th is good for a $10 discount per child.

Don’t forget about the Early Registration Discount, $10 per player if postmarked by December 5th, 2010.

We are pleased to officially announce that registration is open for the new 6U T-Ball Division, an alternative to coed little league.  Registration for the 6U Division will be $70 for the 1st player, $60 for the 2nd and $50 for the 3rd.  The early registration discount can also be applied if submitted before December 5th.  Keep checking back for details!

Finally, we are expanding the 14U Division to accept 15 year olds.  Many of the High Schools have eliminated their freshman programs and we want to give the girls who want to play an opportunity, on a recreational level.

We think the season went well, but we want to continue to make the experience even better for everyone involved.  Because of this we have created this MGSL Survey Form, we would like your input/feedback/suggestions so that we can continue to grow and evolve as a league.  You can complete only what you are interested in, or you can spend the time and finish the entire form.  Your feedback will be reviewed at the next Board Meeting July 6th, 6PM at Straw Hat Pizza, which you are invited to.  So if you could take a moment to share with us the good and/or bad we would appreciate it.  Please download, complete, save and email back to modestogirlssoftball@yahoo.com.

Any comments and/or suggestions are welcome, and stay tuned for details.

1.  A complete game may be called due to rain after 5 innings (4 ½ if
home team is leading).

2. Games may be played in the rain only if the field is deemed playable
(determined by the  umpire).  Unplayable conditions include large
puddles, muddy infields, slippery/unsafe conditions , heavy downpour, etc.

3.  The umpire may call postponement of games due to rain.

Saturday’s fundraiser turned out better than expected; we managed to raise over $3500 and we could not have done it without the sponsors, the board and the participants.  Congratulations go out to the winners of both the raffle prizes and the tournament; and special thanks to all the sponsors for there generous donations (links below).

Don’t forget about the two in-store registration days beginning this Saturday at Play It Again Sports, 2720 McHenry Avenue in Modesto, from 10am to 2pm.

Also we just scheduled the MGSL Modesto NUTS night Thursday April 22^nd versus the Stockton Ports.  All players will participate in the Parade around the Bases and the girl who sells the most tickets will get to throw out the first pitch of the game.  We look forward to a fun evening with everyone’s families so make sure you keep that night open.
