Evaluation Days? - Players in the 10U, 12U and 15U Divisions that are "UNPROTECTED" are to attend only 1 of 2 Evaluation Days. Typically, we will have Uniform sizing on Evaluation Days. All Divisions (including 6U and 8U) are encouraged to come out to Evaluation Days and try on uniforms.
What Happens After Evaluation Days? - After the last Evaluation Day...Coaches from Draft Divisions (10U and up) meet to draft their teams. 6U and 8U Coaches will already have their rosters. Once draft is complete the Coaches are ready to contact their families and players.
We ask that parents give one full week after that draft for coaches to make contact. If after ONE WEEK - you have not been contacted by your coach....then please send us an email - email@example.com
Uniforms?- 6U and 8U will receive - jersey, shorts, socks - You are welcome to purchase black softball pants for your player if they do not want to wear shorts.
10U, 12U, 15U receive - jersey and socks. Players are to purchase their own black softball pants. Yours and Mine Sports and Image Imprint in Modesto will take team orders. You can also purchase at Dicks Sporting Goods, Big 5 Sporting Goods are also good options.
Team Parent?- Get involved. Each team is to have a Team Banner ready for Opening Ceremonies, Snack List, Game and Practice Schedules, Team Bonding (Pizza).
Game schedules questions? – We do our best to maintain the consistent game days for each age division, but it would be impossible to guarantee this. Much of the scheduling will be predicated upon number of girls registered in each division, number of teams, field availability, etc.
****GAME SCHEDULES WILL NOT BE RELEASED TILL 1-2 WEEKS BEFORE THE SEASON****
Practices? – With regards to practices this is something that is solely at the discretion of your daughter’s coach. Pre-season, you should expect 2-3 practices per week. During the season this could drop to 1-2 per week. Practices could be scheduled any day including weekends, again at the discretion of the coach.
Games? – There is usually 1 weeknight game and 1 Saturday morning game. Our most common game times are 5:30pm for weeknights and 9am and 11:30am on Saturdays. During the tournament weeks, there are games every week night and later in the day on Saturdays.
Siblings? – We have many siblings in the MGSL, if the same age or close where both are in the same division MGSL guarantees that siblings will be placed on the same team. Other requests including transportation issues or other conflicts are dealt with on a case by case basis; sometimes these can be accommodated, other times they cannot.

What happens if it is raining?
Call 209.571.5895 to check Field Conditions after 2PM for practice and field conditions.
1. A complete game may be called due to rain after 5 innings (4 ½ if home team is leading).
2. Games may be played in the rain only if the field is deemed playable (determined by the umpire). Unplayable conditions include large puddles, muddy infields, slippery/unsafe conditions , heavy downpour, etc.
3. The umpire may call postponement of games due to rain.
